What is Olympiad Examination?

Olympiad Examination is School Level Competition Examination. This Examination is based on School level syllabus.  This Examination prepares students to face future challenges. It helps students to develop logical reasoning skills.

Which Organizations conduct Olympiad Exams ? 

There are various independent Organization that conducts Olympiad very year on a large Scale. It is conducted at National and International level. If School is registered for Olympiad exam only then student can take participate. This Examination is conducted from class 1 to class 12. List of national and International level Olympiad happened are as under

National Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE): NSTSE is conducted by the Unified Council. This helps in improving students with their learning ability. It measures  how well a student has understood the concepts and provides a detailed feedback on the same that helps in preparing them for future.

Eligibility Students studying Classes from class 2 to class 10 can participate in exam. Class 11(PCM) and 11(PCB), 12(PCM) and 12(PCB)

Syllabus is based on CBSE pattern.

Unified Cyber Olympiad (UCO): This Olympiad is conducted every year by Unified Council. It strengthen students knowledge of using mental ability, logical reasoning and computer knowledge. UCO is conducted at two levels. The first level exam is conducted in respective school premises. 500 students from every class is selected for the second level exam, which is  conducted at the nearest selected State Head Quarters/Main Towns.
Eligibility Students studying Classes from class 2 to class 10 can participate in exam.

Syllabus is based on CBSE / ICSE / ISC and various other State Board .

Unified International English Olympiad (UIED): This Olympiad is conducted every year by Unified Council. In modern Society,English is an international language. Children who know English not only excel in exams but are known to do well in practically every aspect .

Eligibility Students studying Classes from class 2 to class 10 can participate in exam.

Syllabus is based on CBSE / ICSE / ISC and various other State Board .

National Science Olympiad (NSO): The National Science Olympiad  is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) . This Olympiad is open for students of classes 1 to 12. The exam of the National Science Olympiad is conducted in two levels. Those students who qualify for 1st level are eligible for 2nd level exam.  classes 1 and 2 students are not required to appear for the 2nd level exam and are ranked based on their performance in the first level exam.

Syllabus: is based on CBSE, ICSE and various state boards. If students appear for the second level and moved onto the next class, then  syllabus will remain the previous class syllabus.

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE): This Examination is conducted by NCERT. This is very popular in India. This Examination is conductd at 2 levels. This Examination conducts at two-stages. individual State/UT conducts the first stage selection, Those who qualifies first stage appears for second stage selection at the national level.

Eligibility: Only Class X students are eligible for this exam.

Syllabus: There is no prescribed syllabus for the NTSE examination. The exam level of Classes IX and X. A separate booklet called ‘Learn about the Test’ containing sample items for both the Tests

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship program  funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It encourages students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences. Selection procedure is based at two level. First level is Aptitude Test, after shortlisting of application forms students are called for written exam. Second level is interview , who qualifies aptitude test.

Eligibility: Students studying in XI class to 1st year in any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. .

World Robotics Olympiad India (WRO):World Robot Olympiad India (WRO India) organized by India STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Foundation is one of the largest Robotics competition in India for students between the age group of 9 to 25 years. This event for science, technology and education which brings together the young people all over the world to develop their creativity and problem solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions.

Recognized Schools are invited to enter a team of three students to participate in this competition. Participating teams need to create, design and build a robot model that look or behave like a human athlete. The competition starts from preliminary to the final judging.

Maths Talent Search Exam (MTSE): This Examination is conducted by Indian Institute for Studies in Mathematics( IISMA). This exam focuses  mathematical reasoning, mental ability, novel approach, concepts, accuracy and speed.

Eligibility: Students studying  in Class 3 to 9.

Syllabus: based on CBSE and ICSE prscribed pattern.

International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO): is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students and is conducted every year in a different country. IMO helps to identify and encourage mathematical creativity in school children. Exam is conducted at two levels.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 1 to 9.

National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP): is conducted every year by Indian Association of Physics Teachers IAPT. NSEP is not linked to any entrance or scholarship award.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 12.

National Standard Examination in Botany(NSEB): is conducted every year by Indian Association of Physics Teachers IAPT, Association of Biology Teachers. NSEB is not linked to any entrance or scholarship award.

International Assessment For Indian Schools (IAIS): is conducted every year by Macmillan Education in partnership with Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), a division of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. This is not a competitive exam, is a diagnostic assessment of basic skills, higher order thinking skills and a test of understanding at the concept level. IAIS is used to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the student for subjects English, Mathematics, Science and Computer .

SIR C V.RAMAN YOUNG GENIUS AWARDS NATIONAL LEVEL SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION: is conducted by VISHWABHARATHY FOUNDATION.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 4 to 10.

Syllabus: based on CBSE, state boards and ICSE prscribed pattern.

International Sports Knowledge Olympiad (ISKO):  is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). This exam is introduced in 2016. ISKO focus on development of students personalities. This encourages students towards sports.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 1 to 10.

International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO):  is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). This is a single level exam. IGKO focuses on General Awareness ,Current Affairs, Life Skills .

Syllabus: The syllabus of the Olympiads is the syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and various state boards.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 1 to 10.

International Company Secretaries Olympiad (ICSO): is conducted by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). This exam is introduced in 2016. Students from Science, Commerce & Humanities may appear for the SOF ICSO. This exam is a single level exam.

Eligibility: Students studying in Class 11 to 12.

Syllabus: The syllabus of the Olympiads is the syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE, ICSE and various state boards.

Indian Computing Olympiad: is conducted by Indian Association for Research in Computing Science. Exam focuses to identify school students with outstanding skills in algorithms and computer programming. The Indian Computing Olympiad is used to select the team of four students to represent India at the International Olympiad for Informatics (IOI).  Exam conducts in two parts. The Zonal Informatics Olympiad (ZIO) is a written exam, held at centers across the country. Students can qualify for the second round by taking part in the Zonal Computing Olympiad (ZCO), a programming contest. The programming languages includes C, C++, Java and Python. The second round, the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics (INOI) involves programming.

Eligibility: Students upto 12. There is no lower limit for participation.
